WEST END PSYCHIATRY & ASSOCIATES
NOW OPEN & ACCEPTING PATIENTS IN CALDWELL
West End Psychiatry provides personalized treatment for various mental health disorders such as depression, anxiety, ADHD, OCD, bipolar, PTSD, and more. Our commitment to personalized care is founded on the idea that there is not a “one-size-fits-all” solution to any mental health diagnosis. That’s why we give each patient the time and attention they need to feel better.
We are excited to serve the Western Treasure Valley community with our new location in Caldwell. Now open and accepting new patients.
We strive to provide an environment that is calm and welcoming. With our full range of services, we can serve as a “one-stop-shop” for the patient’s mental health needs. They can see a medical provider for medication management and a therapist at the same location.
We believe in taking a holistic approach to mental health that is adaptable to individual needs. Since medication management and psychotherapy might not be the ideal treatment for everyone, we now offer TMS Therapy. We are the only TMS Therapy provider in Canyon County. It’s an effective alternative solution for people suffering from treatment-resistant depression!
Our providers are passionate and specialize in the medical management of mental health conditions while coordinating care with the patient’s primary care provider.
We believe in a combination of having medications assist in the patient’s overall mental health treatment.
We treat patients throughout all stages of life.
Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Therapy is a new treatment cleared by the FDA for patients suffering from depression who have not achieved satisfactory improvement from prior antidepressant treatment. TMS stands for “transcranial magnetic stimulation.” It works by using brief magnetic pulses to help stimulate areas of the brain that are involved in mood control, and are usually underactive in people with depression.
Our psychotherapists specialize in marriage, group, and individual counseling needs. We have Licensed Professional Counselors to provide therapy for various mental health treatments (ie anxiety, depression, sleep disorders, personality disorders, coping mechanisms, abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder, etc).
We take great pride in selecting the very best providers who will give the care and recommendations that you need. With two locations, we are able to extend our services to more individuals that are seeking psychiatric care. At West End Psychiatry & Associates, you can expect the same high level of care and wide breadth of mental health services that you would receive at our Boise office, now in a more convenient location for those in the western Treasure Valley.
I am a registered nurse and a board certified psychiatric-mental health nurse practitioner. I earned my undergraduate degrees in nursing from Brigham Young University Idaho and my master’s degree in psychiatric-mental health nursing from Gonzaga University. I have had a range of experiences in the nursing and behavioral health fields, including long-term care, medical/surgical, inpatient psychiatric, and outpatient community mental healthcare.
I specialize in medication treatment of a variety of mental health disorders. I strive for a careful and gradual approach, involving my patients as much as possible, rooted in common sense and scientific evidence. I believe that medication treatment can be a useful tool in relieving suffering from mental illness and promoting better function, but has its limitations unless combined with other, non-medication, interventions.
I grew up in the area and enjoy the Idaho culture and lifestyle. I spend as much time as I can with family and also enjoy a variety of outdoor and sporting activities. I am fluent in the Spanish language.
Are you having trouble coping with a traumatic event? Do you feel overwhelmed? Do you lack the motivation to face the day?
After working with hundreds of individuals, I have developed skills to ensure you feel heard, supported, and led towards a personalized solution. I utilize an integrative approach of Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness techniques. I provide relationship and individual counseling with specialties in managing schizophrenia, bipolar, anxiety, depression, and interpersonal challenges.
I am a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and certified counselor supervisor in the state of Idaho. I received my Master’s degree in Counseling from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas and my Bachelor’s degree in Christian Studies from Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona.
I was born and raised in Arizona, resided in Texas for 10 years prior to moving to Boise, Idaho in 2014. I find calm and relaxation by fly fishing on my days off and spending time with my wife and two dogs.
