Marie Hawkins wants to live in a world where people are respected for their state of being human.
As a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner I provide a personal approach to mental health treatment by recognizing, as beings we are more than symptoms or circumstance.
My undergrad education began in Seattle, followed by Boise State University and achieving a Masters of Nursing Science APRN at the University of Utah. Starting my career as an RN 1989 I’ve had a variety of areas including Burn/plastics, critical care, ER, neuro-trauma and wound and hyperbaric medicine. My goal is to continue education and obtain a Doctorate of Nursing Science.
When not practicing mental health care, you can find me entertaining a variety of the arts; my new found passion- knitting, I revitalize myself through Yoga, as well as my love for flowers, all things science and setting a future goal to one day run a marathon.
In my other life I was a business owner of a one of a kind pottery studio here in Boise-Elias Porter Creations for over 10 years. Weekly staged at the Boise Farmers Market including a yearly event at Art in The Park
Having lived in Boise Idaho since 1989 I’ve seen a tremendous growth in culture; I enthusiastically embrace this change and opportunities, as Boise becomes a nice little city.
